ΞTweet

FAQ

No, ΞTweet is completely free. It is unlikely that we will ever implement advertisements in ΞTweet, and you will not have to pay for the application either. Of course, donations are always welcome!

While our domain name (xitweet.com) suggests that ΞTweet is a commercial application, it is not. It was simply a bad choice for a domain name.

How does ΞTweet work?

ΞTweet uses a rather unique (but complex) structure to retrieve messages and display them.

There are 4 types of settings which you need to complete before you can use ΞTweet: Accounts, Data Sources, Columns and Column Data. An Account defines which account to use, and a Column defines the columns which you see. A Data Source then receives the information from the Account, and puts it in the proper column - by using the Column Data settings.

This may sound very complicated, so here is an example. User @tvdw wants all Direct Messages (received) and all Mentions from his Twitter account in 1 column, "to me". He starts with adding the @tvdw account on the Account tab. He then creates the "to me" column, and creates 2 data sources: one for the DMs, and one for the Mentions. Then, he goes to the Column Data tab, where he specifies that these 2 data sources go to the right column.

ΞTweet has 2 write options: the window version, and a version that shows in the main window.
